Yes, we analysed TikTok data. Yes, we’re that invested in the Christmas snack wars. Every single December, Britain has one question on its mind:

“Which Christmas chocolate tub is the best?”

We’re talking serious, national-conflict-level stuff here. More intense than the tea-before-milk debate. More emotional than the weekly shop when your favourite biscuits are out of stock.

UK gourmet popcorn brand Stardust Loaded Popcorn wanted to dig into TikTok’s Christmas chocolate tub obsession — analysing thousands of engagement data points to finally reveal which tub the internet truly loves most.

To make this official (and satisfy the inner data geek in all of us), we created:

The TikTok Christmas Tub Leaderboard

Here’s exactly how we did it

Our Methodology (AKA: Why this is legit and not just vibes)

TikTok removed public hashtag view counts (rude), so instead, we used a more robust, measurable method based purely on engagement, not guesswork.

For each tub (Celebrations, Quality Street, Heroes, and Roses) we:

  1. Searched TikTok for:

  • “Celebrations Chocolate”

  • “Quality Street”

  • “Heroes Chocolate”

  • “Roses Chocolate”

  1. Identified the top 10 most-engaged videos for each tub.

  1. Recorded four engagement metrics:

  • Likes

  • Comments

  • Saves

  • Shares

  1. Calculated total engagement per tub.

  1. Normalised each metric so the highest value = 100

  1. Applied weighting:

  • Likes = 40%

  • Comments = 25%

  • Saves = 20%

  • Shares = 15%

  1. Combined the weighted scores to create a final leaderboard score out of 100.

This score reflects:

Popularity

Viral potential

Comment intensity (chaos factor)

Shareability

Save-worthiness (the “I’ll come back to this later” energy)

It’s data. It’s science.

It’s festive nonsense backed by maths.

The TikTok Christmas Tub Results Are In

1st Place: Celebrations - Score: 100/100

The undisputed queen.

The Beyoncé of the chocolate tub world.

The tub that doesn’t just walk, it struts.

Engagement totals:

  • 43,761 saves

Celebrations SMASHED every category. TikTok simply cannot resist reviewing them, ranking them, arguing about them, defending the Teaser chocolate like their life depends on it.

What it means:

Celebrations are chaotic.

TikTok LOVES chaos.

Match made in algorithmic heaven.

2nd Place: Quality Street - Score: 48.7/100

Colourful. Nostalgic. A tub that smells faintly of childhood and purple wrappers.

Fans are loyal (almost aggressively).

The Green Triangle discourse alone powers half the UK internet in December.

Engagement totals:

  • 17,484 saves

What it means:

Quality Street is the cosy blanket of Christmas tubs, loved, respected, slightly chaotic. but TikTok has clearly moved on to louder personalities.

3rd Place: Cadbury Heroes - Score: 35.9/100

The quiet underdog.

The tub for emotionally stable people who just want a mini Dairy Milk without drama.

Engagement totals:

  • 22,594 saves

What it means:

Heroes fans aren’t screaming in the comments — they’re quietly munching a Wispa Bite living their best life.

4th Place: Cadbury Roses - Score: 9.0/100

We love you Roses, but TikTok does not.

Engagement totals:

  • 2,885 saves

What it means:

Roses are the “we forgot to get something so we grabbed the last tub in Tesco Express” selection.

They’re not hated, they’re just not loved.

The Big Picture (AKA: What We’ve Learned About British Snack Culture)

  • TikTok loves drama, therefore TikTok loves Celebrations.

  • People take Quality Street rankings personally.

  • Heroes fans are stable and hydrated.

  • Roses are the polite handshake of Christmas tubs.

  • The UK is unhinged about snacks, and we respect that deeply.
